This is why I personally feel that it is essential to be teaching all students individually so that they may absorb and produce at their own ability and mostly ENJOY what they are doing; thus, they will more likely excel in the art and joy of making music, adding further balance into their lives. “I took guitar lessons from Michael for 5 years until I went away to college. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. He taught me important aspects of music theory. I began on an acoustic learning different cords. By the end I had learned how to play acoustic and electric and Michael would help me work up my favorite songs. I would learn all the main riffs, chords and rhythms. Once I could play the song on the guitar, Michael would then help me learn to sing the song while playing. I've never thought of myself as a singer but Michael really helped me learn how to do it properly.
